A NEW EYE TO WATCH, Focal 10.5 mm
Walking in the city

Our eye, the result of Darwinian evolution, allows us to observe reality with a deformation, a depth and a visual field that corresponds roughly to a lens with a focal length of 42 mm.
But if evolution had developed our eye differently, then we would have had a different view of the world, a different deformation of the same reality, a vision corresponding by analogy to that of other lenses of a camera, with other focal lengths.
The camera therefore allows us to observe and discover many representations of reality, all true and valid, from the infinitely small to the infinitely wide, thus making us also reflect, and not only for these aspects, on the limits and illusoriness of our sensory perceptions.
A lens with a focal of 10.5 mm. makes us see a world geometrically very different from what we see with our eyes and that we identify, without thinking too much, with the true reality, a world now made essentially of curved lines, another deformation of the real world that we can observe and communicate only with the camera.
